About Us

John Taylor, Ph.D. R.Psych 1444

As a Registered Psychologist (CPBC #1444), Dr. Taylor has over 40 years experience. His counselling scope of practice includes;

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder,

parenting, divorce adjustment, blended family dynamics, anxiety, mood, or behaviour challenges

He continues to engage clients in finding real change.

With years of experience in adolescent treatment, he currently consults with Hollyburn Youth and Family Services both in treatment facilities and as a staff trainer.

An area of special interest is the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, also on an out-reach basis, if necessary.

Dr Taylor has worked with and consulted to foster and adoptive parents for the last 24 years.  He is eager to help in this challenging area, and is well aware how hard it is for such parents to get real and useful support.  For most of that period he developed the original "Boundaries" program for children who were acting out in unusual sexual ways, and, along with the Vancouver School Board, developed guidelines for school staff in responding to unusual behaviours in academic settings.

Dr. Taylor also maintains an office in Whiterock, B.C.
